OBITUARY Lavelle S. King September 29, 1922 – December 10, 2018 Lavelle S. King, 96, of Evansville, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Columbia Healthcare. She was born September 29, 1922 in Summerville, GA to the late Judson C. and Slona (Fulton) Stansell. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served as the church secretary for many years and was a current member at Northeast Park Baptist Church. Lavelle was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lee King; son, Chuck King and daughter, Cathy King. She is survived by daughter, Judy Dugan (Bud); grandchildren, Melissa Whitler (Ron), Jeff Dugan (Becky) and Russell Dugan (Pam); great-grandchildren, Shelby and Landon Whitler, Kristin Dugan and Grant, Reed and Claire Dugan and nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Brother Steve Taylor with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2018 and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
