OBITUARY Kay M. Widmeyer May 25, 1954 – December 21, 2018 Kay Marie Widmeyer, 64 of Martinsburg, passed away December 21, 2018. Born May 25, 1954 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Lorraine Whittington. Kay was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed helping others and had a special love for animals. She is survived by her children: Dawn Smith and her husband, Jeff, and Eric Widmeyer and his wife, Deana; grandchildren: Sawyer, Jordi, and Wyatt Smith and Corey, Jaylen, and Gracie Widmeyer; her sister, Ann DeLaughter and her children, Shawn Whittington and Jennifer Eells; and her brother, Charles Whittington and his children, Charles Jr. and Chasity Whittington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Widmeyer, III; and her sister, Susan Sager. Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Berkeley County Humane Society.
