Obituary of Kathleen Himes Kathleen A. “Kathy” Himes, 70, of Ellington, formerly of Jamestown passed away Sunday (December 23, 2018) in her home. A lifelong area resident she was born September 7, 1948 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Marion and Margarete Smith Huling. Kathy was a graduate of Southwestern High School and in earlier years was employed by Heritage Park and Ethan Allen Furniture. Prior to retirement she was employed by Falconer Central School. She was a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed her family, bowling, reading, crossword puzzles, coloring and her cats. Surviving are four children: James (Kelly) Himes of Ellington, Tina (Todd) Barden of Falconer, Veronica (Richard) Johnston of Ellington, Charcy Himes (Nino Sanabria) of Celoron; 19 grandchildren: Kaylie Himes, CPL Tyler Himes USMC, Bryen Barden Ret USMC, Kaitlynn Barden, Dalton Whitacre, Richard Johnston III, Ashley Johnston, James Johnston, SGT Brittany Whippo US Army, Brianna Skuggen, Daryn Himes, Gage Carte, Carl Carte, Aryan Carte, Andrea Himes, Emily Bindics, Andrew Sanabria, Nino Sanabria, Nevaeh Sanabria and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Himes whom she married April 4, 1970, who died April 1, 2009; a brother Bruce E. Huling and a sister Susan Wellman. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home given by Pastor Jennifer Delahoy. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials may be donated to the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department 769 E Main St, Ellington, NY 14732
