Obituary for Mrs. Judy K. Richards Judy K. Richards, 74, of Columbus, passed away at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Judy was born January 6, 1944, in Brown County, Indiana, the daughter of Roy and Margaret Stanfield Hawkins. She married Robert Richards on February 27, 1960. Mrs. Richards worked at RCA in Bloomington and retired in 1990 from ARA Catering and Cardinal Services. She loved shopping for hours without spending a dime and attending Women’s Camp. She especially cherished the time spent with family and friends. Survivors include her children, Kimberly (Carvel) Gilbert, Robin (Scott) Shull, Holly (Aundra) Harris, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Heather Gilbert, Ryan Gilbert, Kerrigan Feider, Clayton Harris, Parker Harris, Ethan Harris; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Deegan, Ryker, and Layla Vazquez and Landon Gilbert; brother, Marvin Hawkins of Florida; several nieces, nephews; beloved dogs, Brandi and Nilla. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; sisters, Margaret Jane Mankin, Jean Weekly and brother, Larry Hawkins. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Lt. Amy Tompkins officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
