Obituary for Juan Caraballo, Jr. Juan Caraballo, 70 of Graniteville Staten Island passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 25, 2018 at the Staten Island Care Center in Staten Island New York. Born and raised with the church, Juan grew up in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn, New York. He sang in the choir, played the bongos in the orchestra and was an involved member of the catholic church, Evangelization. He attended P.S.46, Sands Junior High School (JHS 265) and George Westinghouse Vocational and Technical High School where he received his diploma in June 1968 in Brooklyn. Juan enjoyed the technical area of Radio. He enjoyed baseball and followed both the New York Mets and New York Yankees. He enjoyed listening to music and some of his favorite groups were Los Condes, The Beach Boys, The four tops, The Temptations and Elvis. He enjoyed singing and dancing. He moved to Staten Island, NY in January 1979 He later became involved in St Adalbert’s Church where his daughter Nabillia was attending grade school. He was employed by the Norelco-Phillips company until he was called to service for the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the military, he returned to work for the Norelco Company for 35 years. A humble man, he always lent a helping hand and in his strong belief in god he carried acoustic systems. He would always say ”Peace and Love” with the message of salvation. He was an active devoted member of the sacred heart Cusillo movement in the church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and InnocenciaCaraballo, sister Lydia Caraballo and Brother Louis Caraballo. He will be missed by his daughter, NabilliaCaraballo, Alma Caraballo (ex-wife), Ian Lefkowitz (son in-law), AnibalPabon (Brother-in law), Janette Pabon (sister in-law), SandalioPabon (Nephew), Christine Pabon (Niece in-law),Antonia Pabon (mother in-law), AnibalPabonSr (father in-law), cousins and extended family members. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Adalbert’s Church located at 337 Morningstar Road Staten Island, New York 10303.
