Obituary for Joann M. Hofmann Joann M. Hofmann, of Zoar Rd., Springville, died Thursday December 27, 2018 in Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo at the age of 82. She was born August 22, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio a daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (nee Moran) Wurstner. She was a graduate of Springville Griffith Institute, was a telephone operator in Springville in her younger years and was a homemaker. Her family was her hobby. She is survived by her husband – Frederick Hofmann whom she married April 8, 1961; three sons – Karl (Rebecca) Hofmann of Springville, David (Tim Hug) Hofmann of Seattle, WA, Dan Hofmann of Springville; a brother – William (Carole) Wurstner of Cleveland, OH and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday January 4, 2019 from 3-7 pm at Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main St., Springville, where funeral services will be held Saturday January 5, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc., 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Joann M.
