Obituary for Jessie A. Stancliff Jessie A. Stancliff, 98, of Carneys Point passed away on December 18, 2018. Born in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Eliza (McGinley) Higgins. Jessie is survived by her sons Walter Stancliff, Jr. and James Stancliff, Sr. (Judy); her grandchildren John Stancliff, Fred Stancliff, Tara Friebel, Jaime Sherrick, Mike Stancliff, Lacey Stancliff and Jimmy Stancliff, Jr.; several great grandchildren; her sister Grace Fenwick; and her niece Joyce Wanamaker. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Walter J. Stancliff, Sr. and her daughter in law Kathy Stancliff. Jessie was an extremely devoted member of the Union Presbyterian Church in Carneys Point and she served as Deacon there. She also served as the Welfare Director for Carneys Point. Jessie was a member of the Penns Grove Chapter of the Eastern Star, the Carneys Point Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary, and the election board. Services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be a visitation from 9 to 10 AM and the funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Jessie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation online at www.alzfdn.org.
