OBITUARY Jenny L. Contro August 2, 1953 – December 27, 2018 Jenny L. Contro of Johnson City, 65, went home to be with her Lord, December 27,2018, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by mother Dorothy L. Contro and father Charles A. Contro, brother Joseph A. Contro. She is survived by her siblings Peter & Evie Contro, Lorraine Ireland, Sharon & Dale Leighton, Rose Whitford, Minnie Contro, Liz & Ron Gorley, Nancy & Kyle Barnes, Charles A. Jr. & Diane Contro, John I. & Carol Contro. Nieces and nephews, Margaret Decker, Annette Connors, Josephine McCombs, Catherine Coates, Patrick & Michael Ireland, Brian, Kevin & Christa Leighton, Angelina Grandinetti, Rebecca & David Gorley, Jessica Contro, Damion Hodges, Amanda Babola, Sarah Contro, and many great nieces and nephews. Jenny graduated from Chenango Valley H.S. in 1971, and furthered her education in fashion. She worked for JC Penney for over 30 yrs. and was an advocate for the March of Dimes. She loved elephants, and loons, gardening, cooking and baking, to share with others. She loved her family and was generous and kind with a big heart placing everyone’s needs first. She always gave the perfect gift to everyone. She will be dearly missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00am at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Saturday 9:30 am until time of service.
