Obituary for Jean Seabaugh Jean Seabaugh, 96, of Jackson, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Monticello House. She was born August 6, 1922 in Cape Girardeau to the late Webster Clyde and Ada Belle (Robinson) Smith. She and Woodrow “Woody” Seabaugh were married August 20, 1942. He preceded her in death. Jean was a 1940 Jackson high school graduate, was Cape Girardeau Probate Court Clerk for 35 years, retiring in 1987. She co-owned and operated Roll-O-Fun (skate rink) from 1958-1978. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church, Esther’s Circle and the American Legion Post 158 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Seabaugh; one son, Mike Seabaugh; one sister, Mary Lou Marshall; sister-in-law, Colleen Smith, all of Jackson; six grandchildren, Blake Seabaugh, Kerri (Chris) Valentine, Spencer (Leticia)Verhines, Jeremy (Amelia) Verhines, Heather (Steve) Fisher, Cass Chavez; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Joe Wilson Smith; four sisters, Erma Dee Williams, Thelma “Sis” Himmelsbach, Naomi Crites and Vickie Statler; ,one granddaughter, Loxli Willow. A memorial service will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Ford and Sons – Jackson with Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Private burial will take place at a later date at Russell Heights Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to New McKendree United Methodist Church.
