Obituary for Janice C. Gottlieb Utica – Janice C. Gottlieb, 64, passed away on December 25, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 9, 1954, in Cairo, NY, the daughter of the late Frederick and Ann (Fromel) Freeman. Janice attended Cairo schools and graduated valedictorian of her class. On February 17, 1980, she married Gary Gottlieb in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Utica. They enjoyed a blessed union of 27 years prior to his passing on March 20, 2007. Janice was a Direct Support Professional with The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter and also worked at Jo-Ann Fabric. Janice enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble and swimming. She loved taking care of her pets and strays alike. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She is survived by her children, Karen Divens, Keriann and Justin Campbell, and Keven Gottlieb; her grandchildren, Abigail Divens and Temperance and Kaidence Campbell as well as family friends, Paula Nasto and Scott and Pamela Campbell. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.
