Obituary for James Pellinger James Pellinger Somerset NJ James Pellinger passed away early on his birthday Monday December 24, 2018. He was 97 years old. Mr. Pellinger was born in Rahway and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He attended University of Georgia prior to going into the United States Army. After serving our country, Mr. Pellinger got a degree in Education from Seton Hall University. He was a middle school math and science teacher for over 35 years. He retired from the New Providence Public School System. He was an avid gardener and an accomplished welder. Mr. Pellinger was pre deceased by his wife Helen in 2011 and a brother Edward Pellinger. He is survived by his children, Paul Pellinger of Somerset and Bernadette DeFillipo and her partner Edward Alligier of South Plainfield. Visiting will be held from 3-5 PM on Thursday at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. All other services will take place privately.
