Obituary for James P. Millett James P. Millett, 84, passed away Thursday September 27th,at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. He resided on Cambridge Woods Lane with his wife Jeanne (Lavoie) Millett. James was born on February 25, 1934, in Hoosick Falls, NY, son of the late Joseph and Loretta (Maleady) Millett. He was educated at St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls. James was a veteran of the United States Air force serving from 1952-1956. He was self-employed salesman for Freedom Fasteners. James enjoyed golfing, car shows, band concerts, Hedges Lake, his Church and Fr. Tom. Survivors other than his wife Jeanne include their children James Millett (Brenda) of Charlotte, NC, Maureen Gundaker (Dan) of Atlanta, GA, Linda Liles (John) of Virginia Beach, VA, Joanie Millett of Waterford, NY, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is predeceased by two sisters June Baker and Maryjane Sheehan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday October 2nd, at 10:00 am from the First United Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will be at 12:00 (noon) at the Gerald B.H. Solomon/Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY on Monday October 1st, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
