Memorial services for James Alvin Boozer, Sr., age 76, of Grenada, are at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Way of Life Fellowship Hall in Grenada. James died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 2, 1942 in Arkansas and was the son of the late James Rolandus Boozer and Hattie Leora Thornsberry Boozer. James worked as a commercial fisherman and as a mechanic. He attended Way of Life Ministries in Grenada. James was preceded in death… Read More » by his parents, James and Leora Boozer; one son, Jeffrey Ronald Boozer; and three sisters, Jerrel Dean Boozer Moore, Phyllis Ann Boozer and Cloteen Boozer. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Boozer of Grenada; three sons, James (Jamie) Alvin Boozer, Jr. of Mountain View, Arkansas, Joe Boozer of Grenada and Jeremy Boozer of Gulfport; two sisters, Doris Boozer Tartt of Elliott and Glenda Gale Boozer Steed of Grenada; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mortimer National Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
