Jama S. Cassady, 75, of Auburn, died Tuesday December 18, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Jama was born January 3, 1943 in Auburn and was a graduate of Auburn High School. She was a member of First Christian Church- Disciples of Christ, Auburn. Jama was a licensed Cosmetologist and graduate of Ravenscroft Beauty College. She also was a fragrance Consultant for Dillard’s department store company and was named the fragrance consultant of the year in 1994. Survivors include her son, Tracy Dietrich of Emporia, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly Fairchild of Auburn and Kamala and Sterling Klink of New Albany; father, Clare “Red” Blickenstaff of Hamilton; mother, Mary Anna Rank of Auburn; sister and brother-in-law, Louanne and John Nugen of Auburn; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Cassady in 2007. A memorial service will be held at a later date at First Christian Church- Disciples of Christ, Auburn and an announcement in the paper will be made. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
