Goldie M. “Dolly” Christian, 96 of Webster Springs went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 09, 2018 at Webster Nursing & Rehab Center in Cowen. She was born July 31, 1922 in Webster County, the daughter of John and Lucy Payne Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Christian; son Aaron Christian; and nine siblings. She is survived by her son Ardie Lee Carpenter of Cowen, Ronald (wife Mary) Christian of Camden on Gauley, Michael (wife Sarah) Christian of Craigsville; grandchildren Tammy (John) Hammond, Ronda (Gary) McCourt, Aaron (Lisa) Brown, Stephanie Brown, Misty Brown, and Michael (Ashley) Christian; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Dolly’s life will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Kessler officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Parcoal.
