Obituary of Gerald Robbins Gerald E. Robbins, 77, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Rome Memorial Hospital. Born in Lowville on February 3, 1941, he was the son of the late George and Helen (Neddo) Robbins. On June 15, 1963, he was united in marriage to Gladys Lobdell. Gerald retired from ConMed and previously worked at Oneida Molded Plastics. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, playing poker and pool and spending time with his family. Surviving besides his loving wife, Gladys, are: two daughters, Sylvia (Loren) Robbins of Rome and Jeannette Sciacca of Rome; two sons, Gerald Jr. and George Robbins, both of Rome; two sisters, Joanne Thomas of Illinois and Linda Lobdell of Syracuse; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: two sisters, Shirley and Betty Robbins; and two brothers, Kenneth and Clifford Robbins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday from 5-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gerald’s memory may made to the American Cancer Society.
