Obituary of Esther Greenberg Esther Rima Novogrodsky Greenberg former longtime Albany resident died on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in California. Born in New York City, Esther was married to Paul Greenberg until his passing. She received her B.A. Degree from Sarah Lawrence College, her MA in Education from Bank Street College of Education and her M.S.W. from SUNY Albany. Esther had been employed by Jewish Family Services , Parsons Child and Family Center , the Bet Shraga Hebrew Academy and the NYC Public Schools. Survivors include her children, Francine Greenberg Reizen, Jessica Greenberg Dennis ( Ricky Dennis) and Benjamin Greenberg ( Andrea Wells). Grandmother of Rachel Reizen, Shira Dennis, Jonah Dennis, Aaren Abrams -Greenberg and Guthrie Wells – Greenberg. Sister of Leah Moskovits. Esther was also predeceased by her brother, David Novogrodsky. Services will be held at Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 Krumkill Road on Sunday, December 30, at 11:30am. The service will be followed by burial at the Ohav Shalom Cemetery on Church Road in Guilderland., NY. Esther’s family welcomes well -wishers to visit at Congregation Ohav Shalom for the mourners meal following the burial , approximately, 1:30pm In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Yiddish Book Center, ACLU or MAZON Esther was wise and ethical , curious about the world, passionate about learning and committed lifelong to family and tikun olam.
