Elmalene Gains 1930 2018

Obituary of Elmalene Gains Elmalene Gains, age 88 of Madison and previously of Painesville, died on December 2, 2018 at the Lantern of Madison. She was born on September 13, 1930 in West Virginia to the late Ernest and Bashi Cumberledge. Elmalene loved to bowl, dance, spend time at the beach and work in her flower beds. She especially enjoyed spending time with her many friends. She worked at Neff Perkins, and had worked at the cosmetic counter at Carlisle Allen Co. Survivors are her children, Velora (Robert) Stark of Andover, Leon (Marilyn) Gains of Delray Beach, FL, Belinda (Peter) Bradbeer of Madison; grandchildren, Tracey Stech, Tabitha Dowd, Trinity Piotrowski, Crystal Schneider, Celeste Kenst, Cherise Minello, Kenny Crockett; 14 great grandchildren; and soon to be 4 great great grandchildren; and half sister, Wilma. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie; son, Bradley Gains; brothers, Willis and Jim; half brother, Roger Cumberledge; and close childhood friend, Vonda Mulllins. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 10:00AM to Noon with the funeral service following at noon at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Thompson. Memorial contributions are suggested to Clean Start at www.clean-start.squarespace.com.
