Edward’s Obituary Edward Burgad, 87, died December 19, 2018 at St. Vincents Care Center, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 27, at Church of St. Anne, 1321 Braman Avenue, Bismarck, with Fr. Tom Grafsgaard officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 26, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a vigil/rosary service will begin at 7:00 pm. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Edward was born on August 31, 1931 in Linton, ND. He graduated high school in Strasburg, ND and soon after joined the army. He married Barbara Link and they resided in Bismarck where they raised their five children. Edward worked as an appliance repair technician at Corwin Churchill, a service manager at JC Penny, and retired from Rodger’s Maytag & Appliance. He was a member of VFW, Knights of Columbus, and Am Vets. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and grilling. He is survived by his three daughters, Susan Burgad, Phoenix, AZ, Cindy (Anton) Ortiz, Chandler, AZ, and Anita (Brian) Haddorff, Minneapolis, MN; his son, Paul Burgad, Minneapolis, MN; granddaughter, Kelsey, Phoenix, AZ; his sister, Angie Silbernagel, Strasburg, ND, and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Sylvia Burgad; mother, Vera Holmquist, and his brother-in-law, Adam Silbernagel. Read More
