E Arthur Plante 1937 2018

Obituary of E Plante E. Arthur (Art) Plante, 81, of Troy, passed away at Samaritan Hospital, Troy on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Born in Troy, son of the late Alex and Laura LeFevre Plante. Art was former owner of Peppi Snack LTD in Albany for over 20 years and worked for many years for Max Wallock Inc. (Max Snacks) in Albany. He enjoyed bowling and golfing with his friends and enjoyed his trips to the NE States. At times he was quite a joker as his friends may remember. He was treasurer and Past President of the Hall of Fame Member of the Troy Bowling Association where he was a member for over 30 years from 1980-2014. Predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, SueAnn Plouman Plante, his sister Dorothy Marsolais, Brothers Raymond B. and John F. Plante. Survivors include his sons, Timothy A. (Alison) Plante of Schodak, William B. (Cherie) Plante of Brunswick, his grandchildren, William, Katie and TAJ Plante and his great granddaughter, Riley, his sister Lorraine Deveran of Troy and especially his companion, Judith Plouman of Troy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 4:00pm at the DUFRESNE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Rev. Alan Siebold officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Friends who wish to remember Art in a special way may make a contribution to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY in his memory.
