Daniel H Stonerook 2018

Daniel H. Stonerook, 70, of Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born March 4, 1938 in Jersey Shore he was the son of Alden Maines and the former Ruth Records. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife the former Cynthia Ann Layne on June 26, 2017, they were united in marriage April 27, 1969. Daniel was also preceded in death by two brothers Alden Jr. and Robert and a sister Patricia Fox. Dan was retired from International Paper Co., He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jersey Shore, the Loyal order of Moose in Lock Haven and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing bingo. He is survived by two, sons James S. (Brenda) Stonerook, of Blanchard, and Daniel M. (Robyn) Stonerook, of Jersey Shore; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Pam) Maines, of Jersey Shore, and Roy Maines, of Hughesville and one sister Joann Edridge of Peoria, Ill. A memorial service will be held Saturday Dec. 22, 2018 at 11 a. m. at the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of services in the funeral home.
