OBITUARY Dagoberto Casanova Sr. January 24, 1930 – December 6, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Dagoberto Casanova, Sr., born on January 24, 1930 in Sagua la Grande, Cuba to the late Francisco & Rosalia Casanova, he had three brothers and three sisters who all preceded him in death. Dagoberto moved from Cuba to the U.S. in the early 1950s to further his education, graduating from Bethune Cookman College c/o 1956 earning a Bachelors in Business administration & education, he also earned a Masters degree in Spanish history from the University of Indiana c/o 61 Dagoberto met & married the love of his life Mercedes Casanova in the mid 1960s, the union produced four beautiful children, Dagoberto Casanova, Jr., Enrique Antonio Casanova, Olga Lidia Casanova-Principe, & Miguel Angel Casanova. Dagoberto was a long time educator in St. Lucie County teaching Spanish at Lincoln Park Academy H.S., Fort Pierce Central H.S., and his alma mater Bethune Cookman College. Dagoberto is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mercedes Casanova, three sons, & two daughter in laws, Dagoberto, Jr. & LaTasha, Enrique & Christina & Miguel Casanova, one daughter & son in law, Olga & Ernesto Principe, five grand children, Giavanna & Alexa Casanova, Jesse & Maximus Principe, Leschia Walker, three great grands & a host of family members & friends.
