The son of Harry and Opal (Morgan) Rhoades was born on January 11, 1963 in Harrison, Arkansas. Charles was a people person and didn’t know a stranger. He enjoyed going to all the cafes in town and visiting with his friends. He loved the river and going to church. He especially loved his children and grandchildren and very much enjoyed spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary Heistand, Charles “Tudy” Rhoades, Bulah and Lee Morgan; his aunts and uncles, Franklin Rhoades, Vivian Williams, Fern and Denver Smith, Lois and JD Wallace and Clyde Morgan. He is survived by his parents, Harry and Opal Rhoades of Jasper; a son, Michael Rhoades and wife Kim of Vendor; a daughter, Haily Hughes and husband Jay of Harrison, a brother, Homer Clyde Rhoades and wife Sheri of Jasper; a sister, Tanya Sue Smith and husband Daniel of Jasper;10 grandchildren, Olivia, Brooklyn, Jackson, Jace, Aspen, Landon, Tristan, Michaela, Skylar and Hannah; aunts and uncles, Scotty Rhoades, Curtis Rhoades, Jerry Rhoades, Doug Rhoades, Misty Oestreich, Amber Jones, Mary Carolyn Morgan and Magdalene Wallace Clayborn and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing. Services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Jasper First Assembly of God with Reverend Steven Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Jasper Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper. Pallbearers include Homer Rhoades, Brandon Rhoades, Landon Rhoades, Daniel Smith, Jay Hughes and Kyle Robinson.
