Obituary for Catherine M. “Kay” Filkins WATERVLIET – Catherine M. “Kay” Filkins died on October 4, 2018, she was 87 years old. Born in Colonie, Kay was the daughter of the late Louis Filkins and Anna (French) Filkins Spiak. She was a long-time resident of Watervliet and was a dedicated and loving daughter who devoted much of her life to caring for her mother. She also provided domestic services to area families. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Watervliet and was a talented freehand artist. She was sister of Margaret Calabro of Providence, RI and will be missed and remembered by her friends in the Watervliet community.
