Obituary of Carl Godfrey Carl F. Godfrey, 91, formerly of West Henrietta and Randolph Manor passed away Sunday (December 2, 2018) in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. He was born December 10, 1926 in Red House, NY, the son of the late Melvin and Jessie Bosworth Godfrey. Prior to retirement Carl was employed by Rochester Psychiatric Center and had owned and operated a coffee shop in the Rochester area. He was a member of the Rochester Senior Center having served as president; volunteered for the American Red Cross; and was a member of the Loyal Order of The Moose in Rochester. Carl enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Surviving are his daughter Dawn M. Cunningham of Sinclairville; his son Carl F. Godfrey II of Kennedy; five grandchildren: Guy Spencer; Jennifer (Todd) Giambelluca; Kenneth Cunningham; James W. (Laurie) Godfrey, Buck (Michelle) Godfrey; a great granddaughter Bayley Grace Godfrey and a brother Danton (Diane) Godfrey of Randolph. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters: Eva Brown and Grace Barrus. The Godfrey family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Heritage Green for the care Carl received during his stay. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be donated to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
