Brenda K. Ball, 58, of Rantoul, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital with her loving husband and children by her side. Cremation is planned with a celebration of life service to be held later. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M, Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Brenda was born August 4, 1960, in Ottawa, the daughter of Dale and Mary (Hargrove) Denniston. She was a lifelong Franklin… Read More » County resident living in the Rantoul area since 1979. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1979. Brenda was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Rod Ball October 12, 1979, in Paola. He survives of the home. Other survivors include two children, Mark Ball and wife April of Rantoul, and Melissa Ball of Ottawa; parents, Dale and Mary Denniston of Ottawa; two brothers, Terry Denniston and wife Marsha of Renner, South Dakota, and Russell Denniston of Ottawa; five grandchildren, Coen Mille, Jesse Ball, Brendan Ball, Maddy Mille and Lucille Ball; and several nieces and nephews. Brenda was a devoted homemaker. She worked in assembly at King Radio in the 1980s, a cook for Central Heights School in the 1990s, and helped at Dale’s Body Shop in the late 1990s to 2000s. In 2008, Brenda became a full-time professional grandma, a title she loved to claim. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and riding motorcycles with Rod.
