Obituary of Benedetto Nuzzo Benedetto Salvatore Nuzzo, known to his friends and family as “Ben” or “Nitu” passed away on December 22, 2018 at the age of 82 years. Ben was born May 15, 1936 in Belmonte-Mezzagno, Sicily. At the age of 16 – 1 day, he sailed a ship to America, leaving behind his parents and sisters to start a new life in New York City. Two years after his family joined him in America he joined the U.S. Army, where he served his country until 1961. Shortly thereafter he met and married his wife, Josephine, and had four daughters, Joan, Catherine, Sandra and Silvana. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, his four daughters, his sister Marie, and his 11 grandchildren. He will forever live in our hearts and minds through the stories he told, the path he led, and the legacy he left behind. Rest in Peace.
