Barry Keith Lee 2018

Loved by All Waynesville- Barry Lee, 67 of Waynesville passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Haywood Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Helen Messer Brendle; grandparents, John Mayfield Messer and Edith Cabe Messer; brother, Danny Long; father in law, W.L. Calhoun and mother in law, Thelma Helton Calhoun along with his son in law, Wayne Coley. Barry is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Nelda Lee; daughter, Shannon (Jack) Reece; son, Dustin (Crissy) Lee of Gastonia; sister, Patsy (Bob) Paseka of Daytona, FL; aunt, Lora (Ralph) Whistnant and their children, Angie and Sandra; sister in law, Mitzi Pruett, grandchildren, Preston lee, Jake Lee, Jessie Lee, McKenna Coley, Ethan “EE” Fortner, Dylan Reece, Hagan (Zak) Cureton and Brayden and Parker Cureton; nieces, Jenni (Layton) Biddy and Mindi (Dennis) Murks and their children, Sarah, Audrey and Zack; nephew, Tyler (Rea0gan) Beaty along with several other family members and friends. Barry was a graduate of Hunter Huss High School Class of 1970 where he was very athletic. He will be dearly missed and always in our hearts. Memorials may be made to the Waynesville VFW, 216 Miller St, Waynesville, NC 28786. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
