Agnes M. Gugliotta, 93, of Central Square, passed away Tuesday. Agnes was born on March 30, 1925 to the late Joseph and Cecilia Gugliotta. She graduated from Central Square School and after graduation she went on to be a cook at Leo’s Restaurant in Canastota. She was also a cook at the Cadillac Lounge in Syracuse and Fairway Diner in Fairmount. She was avid poetry writer and enjoyed an independent life. Agnes was a faithful member of the Divine Mercy Parish, formerly St. Michael’s Church. She was predeceased by her sisters, Sandra Grieco and Helen Washington. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Gugliotta, and several nieces and nephews. Agnes’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Elderwood Healthcare for the care they gave Agnes over her five year stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Divine Mercy Parish. A calling hour will be held from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St., on Friday December 21, with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will be held in the spring.
