William B Greber, Sr., 90, of Saint Marys, died 9:27 P.M. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, Saint Marys. He was born June 9, 1928, on the farm north of Saint Marys, where he lived his entire life. He married Geraldine “Jerry” Tigner on June 9, 1963, at Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys; she survives at the residence. He is also survived by his son, Bill (Lynn) Greber, Jr. of Celina; by his two grandchildren: Benjamin Greber and Julia Greber. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bill was a student at Noble Elementary School in 1937, the year that facility opened. He graduated from Saint Marys Memorial High School, class of 1946. He was a retired farmer, and had also worked at Goodyear Saint Marys and Saint Marys City Schools. He was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys, where he had taught Sunday School for many years, and served as an usher and trustee of the church. Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 30, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, Saint Marys, The Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to Sue’s Animal Rescue Team (SART) or Zion Lutheran Church.
