Virginia Halverson of Columbia Heights, MN, passed away on November 24, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Virginia was born in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Stella Bauck and was the youngest of seven children. She was an avid bingo player, cook, gardener, and story-teller. Virginia was quick to laugh and tease, lighting up a room with her infectious smile and beautiful green eyes. Summers spent at her one-room cabin in Hackensack, MN were a special time for her to enjoy the simplicity of life. Above all, Virginia taught the importance of family and hard work. Her laughter and caring heart will be remembered by her daughter, Linda; granddaughter, Natalie; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends. Virginia is preceded in death by husband, Eddie, parents, five siblings, and two nieces. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 am followed by funeral service at 11:30 am at Faith Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids, MN. Private interment at later date.
