Obituary for Vickie Ann Dawson Vickie Ann Dawson of St. James, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 65. Vickie was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 1, 1953 to the late Edward and Dorothy (Denton) Sewell. Miss Vickie Sewell was united in marriage to Billie Dawson on October 4, 1969. This union was blessed with three sons. Vickie was a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed being a stay at home mom; she enjoyed her many flower gardens and while living at the farm, a big vegetable garden. She was an exceptional baker and cook, always making sure they had home-made breads, everyone in the family was especially fond of her stuffing; not only was she a tremendous cook, but an excellent baker as well, she was know around town for her beautiful wedding and specialty cakes. Vicki was also a “people person” she loved to visit with everyone and her motto was “a stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet.” She will be lovingly missed by all that knew and loved her. Vickie Ann Dawson is survived by her devoted husband Billie Dawson, of the home; sons, Billie Dawson III and special friend Tammy, of Owensville, MO, and Matthew Dawson and wife Shannon, of St. James, MO; sister, Peggy Hampton and husband Jim, of St. James, MO; grandchildren, Billie Dawson IIII, Tory Butler (Michael), Seth Dawson, Thomas Corliss, Shane Al-Ramahi, and TammyMae Al-Ramahi; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. In addition to her parents She was preceded in death by her son Eddie Dawson, and brother, Sonny Jones. A memorial service for Vickie Ann Dawson will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary at 11:00AM with Pastor Don Carson officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel prior to the service from 10AM until service time.
