Sheldon Murdock 2018

On Thursday, October 25, 2018, Sheldon Murdock, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 43. Sheldon was born on March 3, 1975 in Ogden, Utah to Bob and Dana Lee (Gurr) Murdock. He graduated from Layton High School in 1993 and later furthered his education at both the Davis and Ogden Applied Technology Centers. Sheldon was a Quality Assurance Manager at various companies in Utah before joining Scania-USA, where he progressed to National Sales Manager at their San Antonio headquarters. He met and quickly fell in love with his beautiful wife Kristen (Scott) in Pocatello, Idaho. Sheldon and Kristen built a strong and loving family, with two children, Levi and Amiya. Sheldon had an infectious personality and a positive outlook on life that helped him make friends everywhere he traveled. He lived life out loud, focused on making great memories with his family and friends. His siblings and friends nick-named him Shel-do and Shel-dawg, and he happily teased them all right back, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone. Sheldon is survived by his wife, Kristen, his son Levi and daughter Amiya, his father Bob and his mother Dana Lee, his brothers Steve and James, and his sister Candis (Pope), as well as several extended family members. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Myers Mortuary, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. The family is accepting donations to the Sheldon Murdock Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank. For donation details, please contact either R.J. Scott or Candis Pope.
