Sarah Ellen Miller Love March 2 1929 November 27 2018 (age 89)

Sarah Ellen Miller Love was born to Henry E. Miller and Lillian Grace Dixon Miller on March 2nd, 1929. The oldest of 8 children. She passed away on November 27, 2018 at 9:08 AM. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith David Love, her parents, two brothers, one sister, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and one brother in law. She is survived by 3 sisters, one brother, 7 children, 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren. Mom is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many musical callings in her life. Although she struggled with attendance at times, she never lost her faith in the church and passed her faith on to her children. Keith and Ellen were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 23, 1948 and proceeded to build a life together raising 7 children in Bountiful, Utah. Nothing was more important to Mom than her family. She devoted most of her life and energy to supporting and raising her children. In her last days, her kids gathered around her bed and marveled in the wonderful life that she provided to us as a family at Christmas and other holidays. Mom always made sure the kids had a great time and were well taken care of, even on limited funds. Mom and Dad could throw a camping trip together on a whim and a moment’s notice. They devoted every free moment to their children and giving them as much fun as they could and taught them all you can do without spending a fortune. Mom loved to play the piano. Her Mom and Dad loved to hear her play. She would play at the request of her Dad and coax beautiful music from their ancient player piano on classics like Claire De Lune. She played with a fluid grace and confidence, more so than in any other part of her life. She was a great sight reader and accompanied her parents as they gathered around the piano to sing. She accompanied some of her children as they performed as well. Mom was a gifted knitter and crocheter. She even crocheted a wedding dress for her oldest granddaughter. She learned from her mother and it was one of the things they shared together. She spent Saturdays with her Mother as they spent hours walking and shopping the aisles looking for the latest and greatest products. If it had a label that said “NEW”, on a banner across the package, she would buy it. She never got over the loss of her mother because she never found another shopping partner. Mom was a frequent shopper on QVC and had their phone number taped to her phone and sometimes she lost track of what she bought. Mom never understood how unique and special she was. She was rare in her time by being a working mother, sometimes working two jobs. But her kids never felt deprived by her absence as she still cooked, cleaned and sewed. As she stayed in Legacy House and other care centers, the workers and residents commented on how wonderful our Mom was and what a joy she was to be around. Our Mom would be shocked and surprised to know the effect she had in other’s lives due to her kindness. We would like to thank the residents and staff of Legacy House in Bountiful and Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield for all the care and attention they gave to Mom. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 1st from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. favorite_border Donations Pledges
