SMITH, Rex C. Age 70, of Washington Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 16, 2018 following a sudden illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma & LaVerne Smith and by an infant twin brother, Alan. Rex was a graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton and Wright State University. He retired as a teacher at the Wantz Middle School in Miamisburg. He enjoyed his family, traveling, cars, music and dancing. Rex is survived by his two sons, Rex A. Smith & Michael D. Smith and their mother, Marilyn Smith; sister, Beverly (Paul) Leadingham and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tue. Dec. 4 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, with burial to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. Visitation is Tuesday from 12 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Dayton Children’s Medical Center, 1 Children’s Plaza, Dayton, OH 45404.
