Obituary for Raymond Ross Smith Raymond Smith, age 79, of Rogersville, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. He was a member of Howes Chapel Baptist Church. Raymond loved to hunt, fish and work in the garden, watch his birds and his dog, Sarge. He also loved to laugh and tell stories. He was a loving, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy G. Smith and Bessie Smith; wife, Dell Smith; sisters, Charlotte Henard and Margie Sellers; infant grandson, Aaron. He is survived by his loving son, Rick Smith; daughters, Kim R. Herron (H.J.) and Debbie Gentry; grandchildren, April Lowe, Chris Gentry (Ashton), Wesley Smith (Emily), Cheyanne Smith, Brandy Smith, Brad Smith, Matthew Robinson (Danyelle), Ashley Storie, and Justin Herron; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Timothy Gail Smith Jr.; sisters, Ruth Chatham, Betty Reeves (Frank), Shirley Hurd (David), Wanda Gilliam (Bobby) and Louise Mullins (Woodrow); and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 9, 2018, from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. The funeral ceremony will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev.
