OBITUARY Penny Whitesides Moss July 16, 1953 – November 26, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Penny (Whitesides) Moss, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday November 26, 2018 following a long illness. Penny was a family woman who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Penny is the daughter of Sue Conner of Brookdale, New Hope, in Gastonia. She was preceded in death by her father Richard E. Whitesides. Surviving Penny are her mother, her husband Thomas “Tommy” Moss and sons Perry Spivey and wife Tammy and Wesley Spivey and wife Heather. Also grieving the loss of Penny are her brother Donnie Whitesides and wife Carolyn and step-brothers John Connor and Lewis Connor. Missing their grandmother are three grandchildren. Family and friends will gather to remember Penny at 1:00 PM on Thursday November 29, 2018 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 before the service. Pastor Steve Black of Bethlehem Church in Gastonia will offer words of encouragement and hope to friends who gather to remember Penny.
