Obituary for Peggy Joyce Koch (Brown) Peggy Joyce Brown Koch was born on February 25, 1931, in Brady, Texas, to Newton Carlton Brown, Jr, and Jennie Velma Strickland Brown. She passed on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 87. Peggy Joyce married Rubin Koch on June 19, 1954 in Yuma, Arizona. They had 3 girls: Melanie Fern Koch, Dorinda (Wendy) Kay Koch, and Sheria Lynn Koch. They lived happily until his death in 2013. Mother was selfless; sacrificing all of herself so others may have. She loved all animals and hated seeing one hurt or suffering. She loved reading, mostly mysteries. She and Daddy in their younger years loved dancing. She always enjoyed cooking and going on family picnics. She loved bling and all things shiny and reflective of rhinestones. The shiner, the better. She was an artist / creative and so talented. She loved doing ceramics and won blue ribbons and Best of Show at most shows she entered. She had an eye for detail in all that she did. She loved helping her kids on school projects, especially where creativity and art were involved. When Homecoming or Prom time came for her daughters, she designed, made and sewed all of their dresses. Mom was all about helping and being there, always saying the perfect thing when upset or needing advice. Always consoling and comforting us and telling us, “Sis, everything is going to be alright”. She loved music and played the piano before arthritis crippled her hands. She never read a musical note but played from her heart and by ear. She was everyone’s mom. Anyone from young children to the elderly always said she was a Sweetheart. Mom was so giving and loving, selfless; almost to a fault. Holidays / Christmas was her favorite time of the year; loving to bake for friends and family and decorating the house. Growing up, everyone knew her as Peggy Joyce. Mom was so loved by many and will be so missed. May she now Rest In Peace. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one daughter, Melanie Fern Koch. She was survived by 2 daughters: Dorinda (Wendy) Kay Koch and Sheria Lynn Koch. Funeral services will be held at Shilo Bible Church on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Brother Bill Slaymaker officiating. Family will receive friends at the church at 10:00 AM. There will be no graveside services due to the weather. Pallbearers are Paul Cox, Tommy Smith, Mike Meixner, Bill Bryant, and Kyle Koch.
