Obituary for Mary Charlene Dodd Mary Charlene Dodd, 84, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Friday, November 16, 2018 at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau. She was born July 14, 1934 in Olive Branch, Illinois to Richard and Zola O. Jamison Ollis. She and John Anderson Dodd were married December 24, 1951 at Cairo, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2016. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Survivors include her two daughters, Donna (Robert) Vincent of Sikeston, Missouri and Pamela Dodd of Cape Girardeau; one son, Gary Dodd of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Helen Stilley of Olive Branch, Illinois and Norma Morrow of Joliet, Illinois; and fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; husband; two sons, John Dodd and Paul Dodd; two brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cape Girardeau. Service will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Bishop William Shipley officiating. Burial will be at Plainfield Cemetery in Plainfield, Illinois at a later date.
