Marie Janet Pigeon May 8 1935 November 26 2018 (age 83)

Dunnellon- Rainbow Springs, Marie “JANET” Pigeon, age 83, “Give, Love, Laugh” was her lifelong philosophy. Janet has gone home and into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. She passed away in the early morning hours of November 26,2018, in her home surrounded by her family. Born in Haverhill, MA, on May 8, 1935, to Henry “Baba” and Evelyn (Blair) “Nana” Roy, the third of four children. She was married to Joseph Paul Pigeon and they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage together. They began their lives in Haverhill MA, moving to Brentwood NH, on to Crystal River FL, then to Rainbow Springs in Dunnellon FL. She wore many hats throughout her life of wife, mother of 7, grandmother of 20, great-grandmother of 9, and great-great-grandmother of 2, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed traveling, working her real estate, spending time with her family and friends, taking care of others, and meeting new people. She felt that no one was a stranger, merely a friend she had not yet met and vice versa. She was beloved by all who knew her for her love, her sense of humor, and kindness. In her lifelong career of real estate broker, she was the glue that held everything and everyone together, which resonated with her personal life and family. Described by her family and friends as the most selfless and nurturing woman. There are no words to describe such a kind-hearted spirit, only the moments in her presence that showed us her wonderful nature and love. Her smile, laugh and hugs will never be matched. A woman who knew no selfishness, who knew no hate. She showed everyone the true definition of love. Her family, all of her family, was her life. And as her family, all of her family, she was ours. This passion was evident in all other areas of her life. She was a friend to many and a constant source of laughter and positivity and uplifting joy. She had a tremendous heart for those around her. Beyond all of these things, Janet was truly a woman after God’s own heart. And while we mourn the loss of such an incredible woman, we know with a blessed assurance she was welcomed into her Heavenly Father’s arms with a “Well done, my good and faithful daughter”. She emphasized the importance of being a giver, not a taker. She lived this example each day. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, sisters Jeanne Bonin and Carlene Rogers. Those left to mourn her passing and cherish her precious memory are her 6 daughters and 1 son: Janice (Roy) Curry of Homosassa FL, Paula (Bob) Gibbs of White GA, Chuck (Linda) Pigeon of Ocala FL, Judy (Wilbur) Priest of Clarksville TN, Cindy Blankenship of Branford FL, Sandra (James) Winsett of Oklahoma City OK, and Carol (Denton) Kimberly of Jacksonville AL. Also, her sister Lorraine (George) Perreault of Amesbury MA and sister-in-law Adrienne Troian of Haverhill MA, and many nieces and nephews.
