Obituary for James C Greene Sr. Oct. 19, 1945 – Nov. 26, 2018 James C. Greene, Sr., 73, Antis Twp., died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at UPMC Altoona. He was born Oct. 19, 1945 in Brownsville son of the late Conard M. and Pearl B. (Coking) Greene. On August 10, 1972 he married Donna K. “Chub” Snyder in Towson, MD. Surviving are his wife; two sons, James Jr. (Gladys) of Bellwood and Todd (Debbie) Jones of Cheyenne, Wy.; a daughter: Sherry (Kevin) Robinson of Bellwood; nine grandchildren: Carrie, Eddie, Shawn, Kristen, Josh, Austin, Lacey, Kyle and Anna; 11 great-grandchildren: Lilith, Adilynn, Gabriel, Gavin, Colton, Conner, Khloe, Braylee, Austin, Kaylee and Morgan; three siblings: Patty Davis of Antis Twp., Becky Wyland of Warriors Mark, and Butch (Janice) Greene of Texas; and lifetime friend Ray Beichler. James was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam Era, retiring after 22 years of service. He retired from the Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Hiram G. Andrews Center, Johnstown and Hollidaysburg Veterans Home as a boiler operator. James enjoyed spending time with his family. Friends will be received from 11am- 1pm Friday, November 30, 2018 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday at the funeral home, Frederick Ferguson officiating. Interment we be at Logan Valley Cemetery with military honors.
