Funeral services for Isaiah Thomas “Red” Wright, Jr., age 85, of Grenada, are at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elam Cemetery at Coffeeville. Visitation is Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at Mortimer National Funeral Home. Red died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at UMMC-Grenada. He was born on April 29, 1933 in Yalobusha County and was the son of the late Isaiah Thomas Wright, Sr. and Amanda Grace Liles Wright. Red… Read More » worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church at Coffeeville. Red was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wilma Womble and Annie Wright; and two brothers, Wilford “Pete“ Wright and Thomas Wright.. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean Wright of Grenada; two daughters, Tracey Alexander (Steve) of Vicksburg and Linda Logan (Doug) of Coffeeville; three sisters, Grace Jackson of Scobey, Jo Anne Fudger of Dallas, Georgia, and Louise Cole of Coffeeville; one brother, Isom Sidney “Sonny” Wright of Calhoun City; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mortimer National Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
