George Edward Brown, Sr. of Havre de Grace died Saturday, November 17 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was 83. Born in Aberdeen, MD he was the son of the late Charles F. and Florence E. (Smith) Brown, Sr. and husband of the late MaryJane (Hartman) Brown. A US Navy veteran a police officer for 10 years, Mr. Brown retired as a supervisor from Harford County Government in 1998. He was a member of the Havre de Grace VFW, American Legion Post #47, The Young at Heart, Havre de Grace… Read More » Decoy Museum, Havre de Grace Elks Lodge 1164 and the Susquehanna Masonic Lodge No. 130 A.F. & A.M. and he attended the Havre de Grace United Methodist Church. He is survived by his children, George Brown, Jr. of Havre de Grace and Kimberli Galbreath of Street; sister, Florence Mosmiller of Perry Hall; grandchildren, Lindsey Galbreath, Jill (Galbreath) and husband Johnny Crowl, Karen Galbreath, Autumn (Brown) and husband Tim McGlone, Taylor Brown, and Nathan Brown and his great grandchildren Emma Crowl and Elaina McGlone In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kelsey Brown. A funeral service conducted by Pastor Normain Obenshain will be held on Monday November 26 at 10:00am at the chapel at Harford Memorial Gardens.
