George C. Brosko, 73, of Loyalhanna Township, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born December 8, 1944 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Theodore T. and Veronica (Bodnar) Brosko. George lived in Loyalhanna Township the majority of his life, and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. George was a retired coalminer, and continued to work as a self-employed mechanic at Brosko’s Auto Repair in New Alexandria. He… Read More » enjoyed hunting, gambling, caring for his dogs, and playing cards. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila (Ricklin) Brosko in 1992; and his brothers Michael and John Brosko. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Pauline (Fink) Brosko of Loyalhanna Township; daughter, Karen; son, Samuel; daughter Kimberly; grandchildren, John, Benjamin, and Brittany; brothers, Robert and Jimmy Brosko; and an aunt, Honey. At the request of the family, visitation and services were private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 701 Salt Street, Saltsburg.
