OBITUARY Evelyn Ann Berge September 27, 1942 – November 25, 2018 Evelyn Ann Skavold Berge, 76, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. She was born to the late Alfred Martin Skavold and Margaret Skavold in Brooklyn, NY on September 27, 1942. During her summers growing up she would spend them on her grandparents farm in Bottineau, North Dakota with her sister Lauren and mother. She would always share memories and stories of how much fun she had. She graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn in 1960, and in 1961 she married the love of her life, the late Peder Hans Berge Sr. They had two children, Kari Berge and Peder Berge Jr. She had a long career in the health care industry and in 2006 she retired from Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY as the Pathology Dept. Manager and moved to Chattanooga, TN to be with her daughter. Evelyn loved to write children’s books and poems and had two children’s books published. She also loved to cook and her cooking was often the center of activity during holidays and get-togethers with family and friends. She also liked to take road trips and go gambling. Evelyn will be forever remembered by her children Kari, Peder and her sister Lauren Skavold. Memorial donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to Shriners Hospital. A memorial service may be at a later date.
