Obituary for Eunice Yvonne Yake Eunice Yvonne Yake, 87, of Marion passed away Sunday October 28, 2018 at Marion General Hospital. Born on February 13, 1931 in Marengo to the late Francis “Frank” Morrell and Edith Thelma (McQuigg) VanSickle, she was a graduate of Marengo High School. She married the late Clarence Virgil Yake, on July 19, 1953, and was a member of the Marion First Church of the Nazarene. She worked for 32 years as a Ward Secretary at the former MedCenter Hospital. Her hobbies were family, church and work. She truly loved her family. She is survived by her sons Craig (Debra) and Steven (Judy) Yake, and daughter Colleen (Patrick) Myers; her brother Delson (Mary) VanSickle and sister Wilma Jean (the late Donald) Hayes; grandchildren Noah Yake; Heather, Christopher and Corey Myers; Tess and Benjamin Yake; great-grandchildren Gavin Bierma; and Nathan and Morgan Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, her brothers Orland (Mary), Verlon, Udell, Eugene, Marlin and sister Vivian. The family will be receiving family and friends during calling hours on Monday November 5, 2018 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Boyd-Born Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia St., Marion. Funeral Service will be at the Marion First Church of the Nazarene, 233 W. Church St., Marion, on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 3 pm. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Eunice to the Marion First Church of the Nazarene.
