Obituary for Emilia G. Peña Emilia Garcia Peña, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family in Brackettville, Texas. She was born on August 25, 1937 in Del Rio. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Esteban R. Peña; brothers: Jose Angel Garcia, Enrique Garcia, and Julio Alberto Garcia Jr.,; sisters: Edelmira Vasquez, Elida Hernandez, and Evangelina Gutierrez. Family members left to cherish her memory include her children: Maria Garza and husband David Garza of Brackettville, Tx, Esteban Peña Jr. and wife Jovita Peña of Del Rio, Rebecca Resendez of Brackettville, Jesus Peña and wife Joca Peña of Brackettville, Enrique Peña and wife Gaby Peña of Corpus Christi, TX, Jose Peña of Brackettville, and Eduardo Peña and Monica of San Antonio, Tx; Emilia is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives. Visitation will held on Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Catholic Church. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Magdalene’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Garza, JR Peña, Joshua Peña, Adam Resendez, Eduardo Jaime Peña, and Jose Herrera.
