Somerset Elliott J. Dorfman 75, died November 6, 2018. Elliott was born and raised in Brooklyn and formerly of Staten Island before moving to Somerset in 2004. He was employed as a Physical Education Teacher for New York City Schools for over 35 years, retiring in 2001. In his spare time, Elliott enjoyed golfing and playing tennis, traveling with his wife, going to the casino, and building his own model trains. He was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan. Surviving are his wife Gail Dorfman, two daughters Jennifer Lopez and husband Thomas and Robin Turnbow, a brother Stanley Dorfman and wife Arlene, a sister Carolyn Crawford and husband Steven, and five grandchildren.
