BALLSTON SPA, NY – Elaine Locker, age 81, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 30, 1936, in the Bronx, NY, to David Rubinstein and Minnie Salant. Elaine graduated with an Associate’s Degree from New York Community College. Elaine was a wonderful homemaker who loved to sew, cook and bake. She had a collection of about 800 cookbooks, and a collection of cow memorabilia. Her other interest was in traveling through the New England area and Lancaster, PA. Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Stanley. They recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. She is also survived by her son Gregg Locker (Roseanne), daughter Nanci Allen (Kevin), grandchildren Cheri (Scott), Rachel (Jeff), Danielle (Dan) and Matthew, and great-grandchildren, Jason, Carly, Nicky, Ryder and Kira. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Herbert Rubinstein. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave. (Rte. 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY. A calling hour will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the funeral home.
