Obituary of Dolores Funk Dolores A. (Dee) Funk 83, of Norvelt passed away March 22, 2018 at Westmoreland Hospital. Born April 16, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emily Hudec Jurella. Dolores was an avid reader, enjoyed playing golf and loved animals. She was a member of St. Florian Church, United. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate degree, and completed her masters degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She began her teaching career in Jeanette, and moved to Mt. Pleasant where she taught at Rumbaugh Elementary and later retired from Norvelt Elementary after 30 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Funk. Dolores is survived by her daughters Donna Miller (Ray), Deb Tappen (Eddie Torrez), and Deanna Halton(James), grandchildren Kristy Perowski(Mike), Emilee, Sarah and Paige, great grandson Erik and great granddaughter Jenna Perowski. Per Dolores’s wishes, there will not be a viewing. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral home, and a funeral mass will be announced at a later date.
